The hotfix system is the CET's way of building and distributing fast and small incremental patches for CET Runtime applications to end-users. A hotfix applies to a certain Extension of a certain version and consists of one (or multiple) patches. A patch contains modified function bodies that can be reloaded on the fly by the compiler.
