Extensions are the fundamental entities of the CET machinery, after all, it is within the name of CET (Configura Extension Technology). An Extension is a bundle containing resources like price lists, 3D models, images, text (.rs-files), and programmed logic. These files are packed into a single file Extension Archive, pretty much like a zip-file.
In layman's terms, we can think of Extensions as different applications that exist within the CET platform. Some Extensions give access to a partner's product lines, while others exist to provide helpful tools that augment the user's experience, or a combination of both.
The default Tools extension and the free Fika extension are examples of these extensions:
