The message below indicates that either the Windows service required for CET Designer to run properly is not running or not installed.
If you receive this message you should press Yes then open the Windows Task Manager (expand “More Details” if needed) then switch to the Services Tab. Verify whether CETService and ConfiguraLicenseService are both Running. If either of these services are not running, you should be able to right click on the service and select "Start" to get them running again.
To Reinstall the CETService:
The CETService may be missing entirely from the Services tab of Task Manager. In this case you will need to reinstall the service with the following steps.
- Open CMD (command prompt) from the Windows Start menu
- type cd “C:\Program Files\Configura CET Designer\64-bit\cet.runtime\bin” then press Enter,
- Type CETService.exe -i then press Enter
- Type CETService.exe -s then press Enter
After these steps are complete, and you got the responses "Service installed" and "try to start CET Designer again.
If you are still receiving this message, then you can try restarting your computer. If the issue continues beyond this, please contact the CET Designer Support team.
Configura License Service is not available
First try restarting the computer. If that does not work, run Services.msc from the Windows Start menu, locate and select "Configura License Service", then press Start.
