Moving to a new computer can be both an exciting and exhausting process. When you are switching to a new computer that you will use for CET Designer, there are ways to make this process easier.
Moving the CET Documents folder
Your preferences, settings, keyboard shortcuts, and other important personal touches to your CET Designer experience are stored in the CET Documents folder on your computer. By default, this folder is located in your Documents Library which you can access with the Windows File Explorer. When you get a new computer it might feel like you are starting from scratch but this does not have to be the case. If you still have access to your old computer, you can copy the CET Documents folder from the old computer onto the new one.
After the latest version of CET Designer has been installed on your new computer, close CET Designer and then paste the CET Documents folder - which you have copied from your old computer - into the Documents library on your new computer. Since there is already a CET Documents folder on the new computer, Windows will ask if you would like to replace any existing files with the same name. Choose either Replace the files in the destination or Let me decide for each file. Overwriting and replacing these files means you are putting your previous personal settings in place of the defaults.
