The Movie Settings are options that you can work with before exporting the movie. Let’s take a look at each of these settings:
Select a preset from the list to determine the quality of your movie. If you select the Custom option, you can set compression, resolution and quality on your own as shown here:
Offers automatic light settings, including Contour image, Simple, Natural Light, Multiple Suns etc. Preview is the quickest way to render a movie and is more or less only a screen capture of the camera’s view moving along the path.
Most options available in the Light preset list allow you to adjust their settings (not Preview and Contour Image). To learn more about the light settings, please review the Photograph Setup: Lighting & Shadows article.
You can add a caption (text) that is displayed throughout the entire movie.
Fade in / out
Select these checkboxes if you want to add a fade in effect in the beginning or end of the movie.
Determines where the finished movie will be saved. Click the gray button with three dots to specify a different save location. The default save location is your CET Documents, which is also where the Reset button will revert to.
Provides estimates of required disk space and size of the finished movie. It also lists the disk space available in the selected save location. If you do not have enough available space, you can try one of the following suggestions:
- Reduce the length of the movie by removing scenes.
- Choose a lower quality movie preset.
- Save the movie to another location.
When you have finished setting up your movie, click the Export button in the lower right corner of the Movie Settings to initiate the exporting process. Doing so will open the Exporting Movie window where you can follow the progress and play the finished movie.
