Following our recent release, we have identified some issues that we want to bring to your attention, along with workarounds to help mitigate them. Please know that these issues have been escalated to our development teams and are being given top priority.
CET 15.5 Minor:
Crash following MillerKnoll update (ver 15.08.05)
Symptom:
Users are experiencing a crash that is preventing drawings from opening if they contain specific Monitor Arm products. This occurred for users that updated to MillerKnoll extension version 15.08.05.
Workaround:
We recommend those who are facing this issue to try rolling back their updates to a previous version.
That can be done by taking the following steps:
- Click on the Help menu > select Go Back to Previous Version
-
-
A prompt should appear asking if you would like to proceed, click Yes if you would like to continue with the steps:
- CET should then close and restart.
You may need to do this action several times to get back to the previous MillerKnoll extension version number. Only 3 previous versions are retained so if other extension updates completed after this update - it is possible you may not be able to roll back all the way.
If "Go Back to Previous Version" is not available as a Help menu option within your CET, you might not have "Keep Previous Version" option enabled in the Control Panel.
Update as of 4.16.2025 at 12PM EST: MillerKnoll has pushed out a update to patch this crash. Please check for updates by navigating to the Help menu and selecting Check for Updates.
"Contour Image" Preset not Working Correctly in 3D Viewport
Symptom:
If "Contour Image" preset is selected and the 3D Viewport is rendered, the 3D viewport does not update to reflect change:
This appears to be a visual glitch in Paperspace since the viewport shows correctly if you print the report to PDF:
Workaround:
Currently, to have a contour image appear in the Paperspace, we recommend rendering the image in PhotoLab with the "Contour Image" preset and then doing the following :
- Right-click the rendered image and then selecting "Insert in Paper View":
You should now be able to place the rendered contour image within your paper.
Spec 7.5 Minor:
Intermittent log in issues for some users
Symptom:
For some users when attempting to login to Spec the login screen will appear to hang forever.
Workaround:
This issue is being caused by an additional (or in some cases multiple additional) login screens generating after you click login. You can get the original login to resume by closing the additional login screens that appear. These will be perfectly overlapping with the original login so you can click and drag the login screen to check if this has occurred.
